A Place to Create New Opportunities...

Enriching our Community...Enriching our Lives!
We have long understood the need for a central place in which our community can gather to learn, share, sing, dance, play music, and revel in all all that we have that makes us who we are.  Over the years we have left no stone unturned in our effort to find that special place.  We've considered almost every viable option and have learned the best solution is simply to build our own.  We can do it!  Our time has come!
Listen and Learning...
To understand our community's priorities, we met with 34 of our regions top-notch leaders who pledged to get behind the effort.

Our Priorities
  • Compliment our education institutions
  • Offer adult and school-aged education
  • Stimulate regional economic impact
  • Establish Jacksonville as a destination
  • Provide a home for the fine and performing arts
  • Serve as a meeting place for civic groups and businesses
Enter the City of Jacksonville...
On September 4th, 2015, the Jacksonville Center for the Arts leaders inked a deal with the City on a 98-year lease for prime downtown property upon which to build the new Jacksonville Civic Center - demonstrating that the City supports this effort and has confidence in the Center for the Arts to make it happen!
A State-of-the-Art Venue-right in our downtown!
  • 500 comfortable seats - sit back and relax!
  • Elegant lobby for gathering receptions
  • Gracious concierge/concession area
  • Well-equipped back stage to ensure quality presentations
